Michigan Association for Justice offers plaintiff members only forum

The Michigan Association for Justice (MAJ) will host a plaintiff members only evening forum titled “Techniques for Effective Voir Dire” on Thursday, March 14, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Detroit Marriott Southfield, 27033 Northwestern Hwy.

Voir dire is perhaps the most important part of trial, yet even experienced attorneys rank their voir dire skills as suboptimal. Attendees will learn how to maximize opportunities to identify and excuse jurors who will kill a case. This forum will feature a live jury. Oakland County Circuit Court Chief Judge Shalina Kumar, Anthony Randazzo from Secrest Wardle, and MAJ Past President Brian McKeen will conduct the mock trial.

The cost to attend is $125 for MAJ regular plaintiff members, $100 for MAJ sustaining plaintiff members, and $50 for MAJ plaintiff members practicing 3 years or less. Sandwich buffet and beverages will be provided.  Register at online at www.michiganjustice.org.
