'Women in the Workplace' event presented by WLAM at Maple Theater, February 19

Women Lawyers Association of Michigan (WLAM) along with the Black Women Lawyers Association of Michigan, International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation, and TMA NOW Detroit will present “Women in the Workplace: Has Anything Really Changed Since ‘9 to 5?’” on Wednesday, Feb. 19, at the Maple Theater in Bloomfield Township.

The event will feature a Fireside Chat discussing topics regarding the difficulties for women in the workplace and how women still face some of these issues during the course of their
employment. Panelists will include Michigan Court of Appeals Judge Kirsten Frank Kelly and Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Denise Langford Morris.  Following the chat there will be a private screening of the film “9 to 5.”

The event begins with check-in at 5 p.m. followed by networking at 5:30, Fireside Chat at 6, and film at 6:30. Tickets are $25 per person. To register, visit www.womenlawyers.org and click on “events.” Anyone with questions can email Kirsten Silwanowicz at kirsten.silwanowicz@gmail.com.
