'COMPAS Scoring' focus of December 10 webinar
The Criminal Defense Association of Michigan will present a webinar on "COMPAS Scoring: How It Is Calculated and How to Protect or Client." The online program, by Kathleen Schaefer, will take place Friday, December 10, from 10 a.m. to noon via Zoom.
Schaefer is a licensed professional counselor and founder of Detroit-based Professional Probation & Parole Consulting Inc. The firm assists attorneys and their clients and their families in matters concerning federal and state sentencing hearings, parole board interviews and hearings, and commutation of sentence and pardon applications. Schaefer earned 26 years of experience with the Department of Corrections prior to founding Professional Probation & Parole Consulting in 2003.
Registrants can join webinar by clicking the Zoom registration link provided in the automatically generated email sent upon completion of webinar registration. Those attending must use their registration name to ensure admittance to the webinar. Zoom will then email a direct link to the webinar. No passcode will be needed. Registrants should allow extra time to complete this process and to make certain that they can log in to the webinar and hear everything. For those who cannot attend the webinar, it will be available for on demand viewing.
