Scientists to explore 'Forensic Genetic Genealogy' April 14

The Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan's Violence Against Women Project (VAWP) will present a lunchtime webinar on "Forensic Genetic Genealogy (FGG)" featuring Catherine Maggert and Joel Schultze, forensic scientists, from the Michigan State Police Forensic Science Division. The two will give a brief overview of FGG and explain MSP's role in FGG. There will be some time following the presentation for a Q & A session. The webinar will take place Thursday, April 14, from noon to 1:30 p.m. via Zoom. This training satisfies 1.5 hours of continuing legal educations for purposes of PAAM's Best Practices Recommendation. To register for the webinar, visit https://michiganprosecutor.org and click on "training." Closer to the training, attendees will receive an email detailing how to join the webinar on April 14.
