Provide financial records, accused polygamist told

PONTIAC (AP) -- An Oakland County judge has ordered an accused polygamist to provide all of his financial records so she can decide how much child support he owes one of the three women.

Circuit Judge Cheryl Matthews on Wednesday told Dr. Kenneth Mitchell of Rochester Hills that she would consider having him jailed if the 48-year-old podiatrist didn't give the records to an independent receiver.

Faye Miller, who wed Mitchell in 1999, is demanding thousands of dollars in unpaid support for their two children. The 51-year-old Miller says she was unaware that Mitchell married two other women in Canada in 2003.

Matthews rejected a request by Mitchell's attorney, Stephen Barker, for one more week to turn over the records.

The Detroit Free Press says Miller is seeking an annulment as well as child support.
