Parmenter Law announces new partner and associate

MUSKEGON — Matt Mills has been named partner at Parmenter Law, joining partners: Anna Urick Duggins, Christopher L. Kelly, William J. Meier, Joshua A. Reece, and John C. Schrier.

Chair of the Litigation Practice Group, Mills began with the firm during law school in a Summer Clerkship Program.

A native of North Muskegon and graduate of North Muskegon High School, Mills earned his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Western Michigan University, and law degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law.

His practice focuses on civil and probate litigation, family law, and alternative dispute resolution.

In additional news, Kayla P. Kolbe has joined the firm as an associate attorney.

A graduate of Reeths-Puffer High School, Kolbe intends to focus her practice on business law and estate planning.

Kolbe earned her law degree, with honors, from Michigan State University College of Law last year. During law school, she clerked for Legal Services of South-Central Michigan and served on the International Law Review board. She spent both of her law school summers clerking with Parmenter Law.

Kolbe received her undergrad degree from the University of Michigan. She had the opportunity to work as a Research Assistant in Greece for a summer; and studied in New Zealand during her junior year, during which she took a law and policy course that inspired her to pursue a career in law.
