Four recognized with G-A Inspirational Alumni Award

Four Galesburg-Augusta High School graduates will be recognized at the
G-A Inspirational Alumni Award ceremony April 18 at 9 a.m. at G-A High
School in the gym.
This year’s inductees are Steven Erickson (2002), Jill Goodrich (1992), Joyce Henson (1973) and Rod Smith (1969).

Kalamazoo Eastside Boxing Club owner and trainer Curtis Isaac networked with Galesburg-Augusta Athletic Director Mike Woodard in the 1990s and again in 2023 holding boxing events at G-A High School to give local residents and students a closer look at boxing.

Teenager killed in 2023 remembered at boxing event
March 28, 2025A teenager who was tragically killed at the age of 17 February 17, 2023 was remembered at a boxing event March 22 at Galesburg-Augusta High School.
Kalamazoo Eastside Boxing owner and trainer Curtis Isaac, who networked with G-A High School and G-A Athletic Director Mike Woodard to organize the event, said he wanted to use the event to remember Jack Thomas Snyder, who was a Battle Creek Central senior when he was killed.
