The Michigan Mortgage Lenders Association will present its 2010 MMLA Sales & Secondary Seminar “Lending in a New Era” for sales professionals and managers on Friday, March 12, at Walsh College in Novi.
This year’s agenda is a detailed look at using social media for companies and loan originators. The program will offer discussions looking into:
• “What Social Media Means To Loan Officers”, with Tyler Osby, CRMS Branch Manager and Loan Officer, Fairway Independent Mortgage, IA.
Osby is nationally recognized as an expert implementer when it comes to the use of social media in his mortgage practice.
He uses networks such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and blogging to generate new leads and maintain relationships with past clients and key referral partners. Last year, 34 percent of Osby’s business was generated through his social media strategies.
Only recently has Osby started sharing his strategies through speaking and communities such as Mortgage Coach and national technology conferences.
• “The Current State of U.S. Secondary and Capital Markets with Chris Bennett, president and CEO of Vice Capital Markets.” Back by popular demand Bennett has put together an agenda that is sure to keep everyone on the edge of their seat.
Bennett has traded over $45 billion in MBS and still has a great sense of humor.
• “Social Media Marketing Systems and Corporate Considerations” with Pat Kitano, principal at Domus Consulting Group, San Francisco, CA
Kitano brings more than 25 years of entrepreneurial experience building businesses within four dynamic industries: real estate, technology, investment banking and media. Domus Consulting Group is the leading management consultant and trainer for the real estate, media and publishing, and non-profit industries.
These industries require the high level of community interaction that the social media facilitates. They are the developers of the Breaking News Network and the powerful Domus Social Media Marketing system.
True to his craft, Kitano will be coming to us via the web and conference call format with Alice Alvey as moderator.
The seminar begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 12:30 p.m. Cost is $79 each for MMLA members and $109 for non-MMLA members. (Membership is based individually, not by company.)
Attendees should register on-line using the MMLA calendar events at www.mmla.net and pay securely with a credit card.
If paying by check, register on-line and print out an invoice for payment.
Reservations made and not canceled 5 days prior to the event are not refundable.
