On Saturday, March 27, 2010, Muskegon County Clerk, Nancy Waters, will open the clerk’s offices for Passport Day. This is the third time she has offered this service since taking office. This provides an excellent opportunity for residents who are working during the week to apply for a passport on the weekend and avoid taking time from work to apply.
The Clerk’s office will be open March 27 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. to process passport applications. The office is currently located in the county’s south campus (former Baker College campus) at 141 E. Apple Avenue. Located on the second floor of the Central Services Building, the Clerk’s office is best accessed by entering the back parking lot from Pine Street.
If you are applying for a passport, you will need a certified copy of your birth certiciate, a valid driver’s license or state I.D., a check or money order payable to the U.S. Department of State for $75, Muskegon County Clerk’s execution fee of $25 (cash, money order, credit or debit card), two 2X2 passport photos (available at the Clerk’s office for $15 per set), and a completed, but UNSIGNED, passport application.
For individuals applying under the age of 16, both parents and child must be present.
