Jackson’s legal community was well represented at this year’s Susan B. Anthony Awards presentation recently.
The awards are sponsored by the Jackson Women’s History Council and honor local women who have “promoted awareness of and political action for women’s issues, services to women in crisis, advancement of educational opportunities for women and development of grassroots leadership for the empowerment of women,” according to the organization’s nomination guidelines.
This year’s awardees were Susan Murphy, deputy attorney for the city of Jackson; Jodi Snyder, owner of ACRO Legal Copy Service in Jackson; and local educator Leslie Cummings.
