Center celebrates 20 years

With Oakland Mediation Center’s 20th anniversary just around the corner, affiliates of the not-for-profit organization are celebrating 20 years of service in the community with the supporters, volunteers, and sponsors who have made it all possible.
“Twenty Years of Magic-The Magic of Mediation” Gala will open its doors to the general public for a fee of $50 to include a cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres and strolling entertainment, a multi-course dinner, and an awards ceremony honoring four individuals.
The event will be hosted by Oakland Mediation Center on Friday, April 9 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Auburn Hills Marriott-Pontiac at Centerpoint.
Individual awards will be presented to honor the efforts of Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Wendy Potts; retired District Court Judge Stephen Cooper; Thomas M. Cooley Law School Dean John Nussbaumer; and practicing attorney and mediator Jon H. Kingsepp.
Since 1990, Oakland Mediation Center has mediated 34,297 conflicts, serving 76,300 individuals, and 30,092 businesses.
