Jaffe attorney Hage appointed vice-chair of bankruptcy committee
Paul Hage, an associate in the Southfield office of Jaffe Raitt Heuer & Weiss, P.C., has been appointed Vice-Chair of the Bankruptcy Crimes, Fraud and Abuses of Bankruptcy Process Subcommittee of the Business Bankruptcy Committee of the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association. Jaffe CEO Richard Zussman made the announcement.
Hage will serve a one-and-a-half-year term. He will assist in the organization and development of new programs, as well as the monitoring of new updates in the area of bankruptcy crimes, fraud and abuses.
Hage is a member of Jaffe’s Insolvency and Reorganization Practice Group. He represents secured and unsecured creditors, unsecured creditors’ committees, debtors and trustees in insolvency proceedings including reorganizations and liquidations under chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code.
He is a 2003 graduate of the Michigan State University James Madison College and a 2007 graduate of the Loyola University Chicago School of Law. Hage also earned his LL.M. in Bankruptcy at the St. John’s University School of Law in 2007.
Negligence Law Section explores Medicare liens
The Negligence Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan will conduct An Evening Forum on “Medicare Liens 2010: Information vs Speculation” Wednesday, May 26, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the MSU Management Education Center, 811W. Square Lake Rd. in Troy.
This is not a repeat session from 2009—new important updates will be shared. Michigan practitioners will address multiple problems regarding Medicare Super Liens. Among those speaking are moderator Jules B. Olsman of Olsman, Mueller, Wallace, & MacKenzie PC; Matt Garretson of Garretson Firm Resolution Group Inc.; Donna M. MacKenzie of Olsman, Mueller, Wallace, & MacKenzie PC; Joel L. Alpert of Alpert & Alpert; and Joseph Patrick McGill of Foley, Baron, & Metzger PLLC.
Cost for the forum is $160 for members and $195 for non-members (includes membership in the section).
