Law Review honors alumnus

The Wayne Law Review held its annual banquet recently and Michael F. Gadola (left), Michigan Supreme Court counsel and general counsel to the State Court Administrative Office, was awarded the Richard J. Barber Alumni Achievement Award. The award, named in honor of the Law Review’s first editor-in-chief, recognizes a Law Review alumnus for professional achievements, outstanding character and dedication to the legal community. Gadola served as Law Review editor-in-chief from 1989-1990.  Congratulating Gadola was Tanya Nava, 2009-2010 Law Review editor-in-chief.  Additional awards presented included: Lee Khachaturian Award (recognizes the assistant editor who demonstrates superior editing skills) — Jennifer Burnett; Richard B. Gushee Award (recognizes the best student Note selected for publication) — Michael Kon; and Sunita Kini “Hard Hat” Award (recognizes a current member who embodies the highest ideals of the Law Review and performs his or her duties with diligence and dedication) —Tim Rimer.
