Preparing arguments for appellate court

The Michigan Defense Trial Counsel (MDTC) – Young Lawyers Section (YLS) conducted a Breakfast Seminar recently at the offices of Plunkett Cooney in Bloomfield Hills. Enjoying the morning were speakers (seated, left to right) Tim Diemer of Jacobs & Diemer, Michigan Court of Appeals Judge Elizabeth Gleicher, and Phillip J. DeRosier of Dickinson Wright; joined by (standing, left to right) Erin Buechler, Emily McDonough, Dana Margaret Hathaway, YLS chair David Campbell, Andrew Labreche,  Michelle Thomas; Candace Randall, Hilary Valentine; Donald Campbell, Bethany Cannon Weaver; Scott Holmes, Melissa Benton, Paul Vance; Jenny Zavadil; Anthony Pignotti, Candice Rusie, and Katherine Crowley.  “We are hosting this Young Lawyers breakfast seminar with a focus on ‘Your First Oral Argument with the Court of Appeals,’” David Campbell noted. “One of the great things about this seminar is that we are actually going to have a mock oral argument in front of a Court of Appeals judge here.”
