FBA sponsors awards luncheon

The Federal Bar Association (FBA), Eastern District of Michigan Chapter, conducted its annual Rakow Awards/Historical Society Luncheon recently at the Westin Book Cadillac Hotel. The program featured Ross Parker (right), author of the book “Carving Out the Rule of Law:  The History of the United States Attorney’s Office in Eastern Michigan 1815-2008.”  Welcoming Parker were (left to right) U.S. Court Historical Society President Mike Lavioe with Butzel Long PC and FBA President Laurie Michelson also with Butzel Long PC. In addition, the Federal Bar Foundation awarded an annual scholarship to a student from each accredited Michigan law school who demonstrates outstanding scholarly achievement in either securities law, corporations or business law, as determined by the dean of the law school.
