Wayne State University Law School’s Student Animal Legal Defense Fund recently presented a program on “Investigating & Prosecuting Dog Fighters” at the Law School. Speaking at the event were Michele Baxter (third from right), Mark Ramos (second from right), and Raj Prasad (far right), assistant prosecuting attorney with the Wayne County Homicide Division who helped create the animal protection unit.  “We do all the animal cruelty and fighting cases,” Prasad noted.  “I’m going to focus more on the prosecution of (dog fighting), really where we’re going legally in terms of dog issues and issues involving dog fighting.”  Welcoming the speakers to the program were (left to right) Robin Miserlian, Jessica Krefman, and Natalie Brookins.
