The Young Lawyers Section of the Macomb County Bar Association hosted a dinner recently at Villa Penna in Sterling Heights so that attorneys who practice in the area could get to know the county’s two new judges. The featured guests - Macomb County Circuit Court Judge Kathryn Viviano (right) and 41B District Court Judge Carrie Fuca (left) - are pictured with Jeff Burns, Mount Clemens attorney and YLS chair. Burns said it’s a tradition for the section to hold such dinners when new judges are elected or appointed. It’s an opportunity, he said, for attorneys to learn about court procedures, any pet peeves the judges may have and “just to get some good general advice.”
