Judge and lawyer debate over appellate advocacy March 22
There are procedural rules applicable to appellate practice. And each practitioner has his or her own style. Between the mandatory requirements and the personal approach, however, lies a range of “best practices,” suggestions and possibilities.
Join Michigan Court of Appeals Judge Elizabeth “Lisa” Gleicher and her husband, noted appellate lawyer Mark Granzotto, as they share their (often-differing) views on what to do and what not to do on appeal.
Serious CLE in a fun and lively format — think Carville and Matalin, or Tracy and Hepburn.
The Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association event will be held at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 22 Detroit Beer Company, 1529 Broadway.   The event is co-sponsored by the State Bar of Michigan Appellate Practice Section.
Registration is $10 for members of the DMBA, or members of the State Bar Appellate Practice Section; $15 for all others. Cash bar.
