A bench-bar conference was organized by the Wayne County Criminal Defense Bar Association, the Wolverine Bar Association, and the State Bar of Michigan March 11 at the WCCDBA Continuing Legal Education Center in the Frank Murphy Hall of Justice. Among those in attendance were Hon. Lawrence S. Talon, Third Circuit Court judge; Susan Reed; Hon. Thomas Jackson, Third Circuit Court judge; Hon. Margie Braxton, Third Circuit Court judge; Hon. Timothy Kenny, Third Circuit Court judge; Hon. Patricia Fresard, Third Circuit Court judge; William Winters; Hon. Michael Hathaway, Third Circuit Court judge; Hon. James A. Callahan, Third Circuit Court judge; Stephen Taratuta, Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office; Steven C. Bullock; and Sally Moore. The bench-bar conference allowed criminal defense attorneys, criminal court judges and prosecutors to hold a back-and-forth discussion on a range of topics.
