Hammond elected to American Subcontractors Association board
Benjamin Hammond, of Hilger Hammond, PC, has been elected as a member of the Board of Directors of the American Subcontractors Association of Michigan.
A significant portion of Hammond’s practice concerns construction law where he is routinely engaged in complex litigation. His clients are representative of all parties involved in construction, from owners, to design professionals, to general contractors. The remainder of his practice involves commercial and residential real estate transactions, corporate and business law, and commercial litigation.
The American Subcontractors Association of Michigan (ASAM) provides services and benefits to subcontractors, suppliers and service providers that help their businesses become more successful.
Honigman attorneys host health care conference session
Linda S. Ross, a Partner and Chair of the Health Care Department at Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP (Honigman), and Mary L. Pate, a Partner in the firm’s Litigation Department, recently hosted a session of the Michigan Health Care Human Resources Conference entitled “Social Media for Health Care Providers: Embracing the Opportunities and Overcoming the Challenges.” The conference, which was organized by the Michigan Healthcare Human Resources Association and the Michigan Health & Hospital Association Service Corporation, provided networking opportunities and training for Michigan health care human resources management professionals. They addressed such topics as the explosion of on-line networks, health/employment law and employment law considerations and tips for embracing social media.
Pate, who works out of the Kalamazoo office, represents clients in labor and employment and general litigation and advises on discrimination, harassment, whistleblower claims, employment policies and contracts, and wage/hour laws. Pate belongs to the Society for Human Resources Management and the Kalamazoo Human Resources Management Association.
