Lubben named board president of the Kalamazoo Symphony
Miller Johnson attorney Craig H. Lubben was named president of the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra's Board of Directors yesterday. He has served on the board as a community volunteer for nine years.
Lubben has a long history of leadership with both community organizations as well as professional associations. He is actively involved with Family and Children Services and Kalamazoo Christian School Association where he currently serves on the Board of Directors for both. He was president of the Kalamazoo County Bar Association and serves as one of six attorneys on the Michigan Attorney Discipline Board.
Lubben has practiced law since 1981 and is focused on representing business entities, executives, medical professionals, and other individuals in commercial disputes in state and federal court and in various alternative dispute forums. He earned his law degree from Northwestern University School of Law and received his undergraduate degree from Calvin College. After serving for many years on Miller Johnson's management committee, Mr. Lubben is currently the chair of the firm's well-respected litigation section.
Lubben is recognized as “The Best Lawyers in America®” in several practice areas and named as a Michigan “Super Lawyer." In 2009, he received the NALS Foundation’s esteemed Scales of Justice Award. In 2010, he was the recipient of the firm's Cummiskey Spirit of Service Award recognizing his significant and outstanding contributions to the community through volunteering.
