The law firm of Rhoades McKee will be the title sponsor of the Reeds Lake Triathlon for its fifth year in 2011. And once again, the firm is throwing down a challenge to other firms and corporations, one which will result in benefits to the D.A. Blodgett—St. John’s Home.

This year’s triathlon will take place  on Sept. 10. It involves  a competition between teams of three to ten triathletes in swimming, cycling, and running.

Each team earns points based on the competitors’ standing in his or her division, using the number of the places held by the team’s top three triathletes. Those who participate in the fund-raising challenge (which does not result in extra fees) may deduct five points for every $100 raised to benefit St. John’s Home. The participating team with the lowest points wins not only prestige, but also a cocktail reception hosted by Rhoades McKee.

In 2010,  Bissell finished in first place, with four teams participating and raising over $1200.

In the past, Rhoades McKee has also supported D.A. Blodgett—St. John’s Home with volunteer work efforts and additional donations. with additional
“The spirit of healthy competition brings people together. We are excited to repeat this triathlon challenge in an effort to increase awareness for D.A. Blodgett—St. John’s Home,” said Peter Lozicki, Executive Committee Member. “We hope that organizations will join our effort to impact the lives of these children.”
