Trott appointed to State Building Authority board
David A. Trott, president and managing partner of Trott & Trott, P.C. (Trott), a Farmington Hills, Mich.-based law firm servicing the mortgage banking industry, was recently appointed to the State Building Authority Board of Trustees by Governor Rick Snyder.
As a board member, Mr. Trott, in conjunction with the other four members, will be responsible for overseeing the State Building Authority, which issues and sells bonds and notes to acquire equipment and construct facilities.
A 1981 graduate of the University of Michigan, Trott earned his Juris Doctor from the Duke University School of Law in 1985. From 2002-2004, he served as the president of USFN. A frequent speaker and published author, David was also a recipient of the Michigan Mortgage Lenders Association's highest award, the James T. Barnes Memorial Award. He also serves on the Board of the University of Michigan in Washington, Detroit Country Day School Board of Trustees and the Karmanos Cancer Institute Board of Directors.
Trott will replace former board member Dawn Batts, and will serve a four-year term expiring August 21, 2015.
