Muskegon, MI (September 22, 2011) - Parmenter O’Toole, a Muskegon based law firm, is pleased to announce the addition of Josh Reece as a new associate. Reece, a graduate of Mona Shores High School, is returning to the area and to Parmenter O’Toole where he worked as a summer clerk while attending Valparaiso University School of Law.
Reece is excited to come home to live and work in the Greater Muskegon area. “It is an honor to have the opportunity to be back in Muskegon and to begin my career with Parmenter O’Toole,” said Reece. “I am excited about getting to work and becoming an active member of the community.”
Reece will begin his legal career at Parmenter O’Toole working in all practice areas of the firm with the intention to focus his practice on business and real estate matters.
After he received his Bachelor of Arts in History from Alma, Josh attended Valparaiso University School of Law, graduating Summa Cum Laude in May 2011. He graduated ranked 4th in his class while serving as Editor in Chief of the Valparaiso University Law Review. Upon graduation, Josh was presented with the Corpus Juris Secundum award for the most significant overall contribution to the law school and was selected for membership in the National Order of Scribes in recognition of outstanding legal writing. In his three years at Valparaiso, Josh earned course honors in several subjects, and his article on collective bargaining and arbitration law in sports was published in the Valparaiso University Law Review.
In addition to coursework, Josh had the opportunity to complete externships with the Honorable Kenneth F. Ripple of the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals as well as with the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Indiana.
