David Palsrok joins Dykema as Government Policy Advisor in Lansing
Dykema Gossett PLLC has announced the addition of David Palsrok as a Government Policy Advisor in the firm’s Government Policy and Practice group, resident in Dykema’s Lansing office. Prior to joining Dykema, Palsrok held a wide variety of high profile positions within Michigan’s government and political arena including his most recent position as Vice President of Government Relations for the Small Business Association of Michigan (“SBAM”). In that position he spearheaded advocacy agendas for over 13,000 small business members, focusing on taxation, economic development, healthcare, regulatory and labor issues.
Previously, Palsrok served as State Representative for the 101st District in the Michigan House of Representatives where his successes included enacting 23 bills into state law. He chaired Great Lakes and Tourism and Natural Resources, Great Lakes, Land Use and Environment committees. He served on the Commerce, Energy and Technology, Banking and Financial Services, and Regulatory Reform committees. He also served as chair of the Financial Services and Energy subcommittees. Palsrok was previously the Executive Director of Connect Michigan, a statewide coalition of citizens, consumer groups, labor organizations, and businesses dedicated to broadband investment and competition; and the Director of Public Policy for the Michigan Association of Realtors®. In the 1990’s, Mr. Palsrok was Chief of Staff for Michigan Senator Michael Bouchard and a Legislative Aide for Michigan Representative Dan Gustafson.

Palsrok has received a number of Legislative Leadership Awards from the Michigan Soft Drink Association, the Michigan Manufacturers Association, Michigan United Conservation Clubs, the Michigan Chamber of Commerce, the Michigan Credit Union League, Heart of the Lakes Conservancy, and the Great Lakes Renewable Energy Association. He received his B.A. in Political Science from Michigan State University.
