Detroit’s Denby High School recently conducted its first ever law exploration program titled “Law Day.” Numerous volunteers from the legal community and local government took part in the program including (seated, left to right) U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuade, U.S. District Court Judge Avern Cohn, Eastern District of Michigan, and Detroit City Council Member Saunteel Jenkins; along with Brian Morrow, Hervey Jenkins, and Danton Wilson of the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office; Cooley Auburn Hills campus Associate Dean John Nussbaumer; retired Judge William Giovan; Wayne County Circuit Court Judges Lawrence Talon and Wade McCree; Randall Brown of Plunkett Cooney PC; Bruce Sullivan Feaster; Southfield attorney Aisa Villarosa Berg; Jacquise Purifoy, Community Grants coordinator for Congressman Hansen Clarke; and Southfield attorney Eric Berg. Also part of the program, but not pictured, were Wayne County Circuit Court Judge Vonda R. Evans and DPS Inspector General Wilbur Van Marsh.
