Thomas M. Cooley Law School’s Auburn Hills campus recently conducted its second annual Interfaith Dinner. Members of the Jewish Law Student Association, the Christian Legal Society and the Cooley Muslim Legal Society collaborated in organizing the dinner and bringing together six speakers who discussed how their faiths have impacted their careers, how racial, ethnic and religious bigotry can be fought, and how to learn about each other’s faith. The speakers included U.S. District Court Judge Avern Cohn (fifth from right), Jaffe Raitt partner and Oakland County Bar Association President Peter Alter (second from right), attorney and Chairman of the Board of Arab American Civil Rights League Nabih Ayad (third from left), comedian and writer Amer Zahr (far left), Toering Law Firm PLLC partner and Adjunct Professor Douglas Toering (fourth from right), and Kitch Law Firm Head of Commercial Litigation John Sier (sixth from right). Happy to welcome the speakers to Cooley were (left to right) Geoffrey Brockman, Sadallah Ali, Angel Rodriguez, Mallory Gold and Zeinab Moughnia.
