Schipper honored with Circle Theatre’s Norma S. Brink Service Award
Rhoades McKee attorney and shareholder, James L. Schipper, was presented with the Circle Theatre Norma S. Brink Service Award prior to the kick-off event of Circle’s 60th Anniversary season, “Circle Celebrates: The Music Of Woodstock.”
The award, named in honor of Circle founder and local acting legend Norma Brink, is given annually in recognition of outstanding support and service to the Theatre.
Schipper and his wife, Jane Frey, have been active supporters of Circle Theatre for many years. Schipper served on the Theatre’s Board of Directors for ten years, and was President of the Board from 2009 through 2010.
Past recipients of the Brink award include: David Weinandy, Bobby Haggard, Richard Cassard, Brian Cloyd, Greg Rogers and Pete DeMaagd.
Schipper concentrates his legal practice in the areas of real estate, commercial litigation and family law. He has significant experience in the litigation of matters relating to real estate, including defense of broker and salesperson liability claims, contract and construction disputes, boundary and easement disputes, and adverse possession claims.
Circle Theatre produces summer theater productions from May through September in the Performing Arts Center on the campus of Aquinas College. Through its “Circle Presents” program, Circle also brings live theater companies to the greater Grand Rapids area for performances in the public schools.
