State Bar hosts conference at Boyne Mountain

The State Bar of Michigan Real Property Law Section (RPLS) will host its 2012 summer conference, “Reinventing Michigan Cities Through Redevelopment,” from July18-21 at Boyne Mountain Grand Lodge & Spa in Boyne Falls.

Programs and workshops will include: “Incentives and Issues with the Redevelopment of the 500 block in Flint;” “A Detroit Success Story: Redevelopment in the Detroit Central Business District;” “Financing Sources: What’s Available and How to Help Your Client Obtain the Loan;” and “Office/Industrial - Tenants: What to Ask For; Landlords: What to Give On (and Not).”

Carol Cain, senior producer and host of “Michigan Matters” on CBS 62, and a columnist for the Detroit Free Press, will give a special presentation on “Reinventing Michigan.”

Prior to May 14, the registration fee is $285 for Real Property Law Section members who are also first-time attendees, $325 for other Real Property Law Section members and $375 for non-section members.

After May 14, the registration fee is $325 for Real Property Law Section members who are also first-time attendees, $385 for other Real Property Law Section members and $430 for non-section members.

Members of the Young Lawyers Section can register for $100 both before and after May 14.
