“No Courts, No Justice, No Freedom” was the topic of this year’s Law Day poster and essay contest conducted by the Macomb County Bar Foundation. Judges and other members of the legal community gathered to pay tribute to the winners of the annual competition (pictured) during a recent ceremony at the county Administration Building. The foundation’s Law Day Committee chooses a topic for the competition, which is aimed at students from kindergarten through eighth grade. Committee members read the submissions — organizers say the number has reached 600 some years — and select the top three essays or posters from each grade. The winning entries are displayed at the awards ceremony.
