Attorneys interested in submitting a bid proposal to be considered for placement on the 17th Circuit Court's court-appointed roster (Criminal and/or Family Division cases) must do so by October 2nd at 2:00 p.m. Any bids after this date and time will not be accepted.
The 2013 bid is located on the County website - AccessKent.
com. The bid can be found on the website by choosing [Departments > Purchasing > Requests for bids, proposals & quotes] or by following https://www.
accesskent.com/RFPPublishing/Request.jsp. Look for the description “Attorney Services."”

Roosevelt Thomas joins Warner Norcross
Roosevelt Thomas has joined the law firm of Warner Norcross & Judd LLP as senior counsel.
Thomas brings nearly 40 years of experience to his new role with the firm. Based in the firm’s Grand Rapids office, he will concentrate his practice on white-collar criminal defense and litigation.
Thomas spent nearly two decades as a member of the law firm Westrate and Thomas where he practiced criminal, municipal, civil right, real estate and related areas of the law. He began his legal career in Chicago, where he spent 20 years as a solo practitioner in criminal defense law.
He is a member of the Federal Bar Association, State Bar of Michigan and the Floyd Skinner Bar Association. He is licensed to practice in Michigan and Illinois.
Thomas volunteers his time helping young attorneys become better trial lawyers. He has served on the faculty of the Hillman Advocacy Program in West Michigan since 1995. He has taught courses with the National Institute of Trial Advocacy since 1983 and at Emory Law School since 1987.
Thomas received his bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University and his doctor of jurisprudence from the University of Notre Dame Law School.
He currently resides in Vandalia.
