Competing and Compliance

The Michigan Creditors Bar Association (MCBA) conducted a seminar on “Competing in an Environment of Compliance” at the MSU Management Education Center in Troy on Tuesday, Sept. 25. Speaking at the program were Ken Wake (second from left), Charity Olson (center), and Don Maurice (far right).  They discussed  new government (CFPB) regulations for collection firms; recent state attorney general actions and FTC orders; how compliance and client audits can increase opportunities; and managing information security and vendor risk. Happy to welcome the speakers to the seminar were MCBA Secretary/Treasurer Lori Frank (far left) of L.J. Frank PC and MCBA board member Mike Buckles (second from right) of Buckles & Buckles PLC.
