Cavaiani presents two programs of spiritual exploration at retreat
Detroit Legal News columnist and psychologist Fred Cavaiani will present two programs at Capuchin Retreat on spirituality.
“Cracks in the Armor” will be held Monday Jan. 21. This most inspiring. popular and profound program will run from 9-3 p.m. It is a spiritual and psychological journey of letting God enter our lives in a deeper and more profound manner. Cavaiani is a staff member at Capuchin Retreat as well as a marriage and family therapist and spiritual teacher. A suggested donation of $40 per person, includes breakfast, lunch and refreshments. “Spirituality 101: The Cross and Resurrection In Each Moment of Life” will be held Monday, Jan. 21, from 7-9 p.m. The popular monthly program on Spirituality 101will be a most inspiring evening. The program starts with a meditation and then with an evening of looking deeply at the meaning of the cross and resurrection in each moment of participant’s lives. As participants embrace the daily moments of life, Cavaiani says they enter into a deeper union with God, which is at the center of Christianity and every Sacrament. “It is learning to embrace the Powerful Presence of God in our lives,” says Cavaiani.. Brennan transfers to Criminal Division at Third Circuit Court
After serving seven years in the Family Division of the Wayne County Circuit Court, in both the Domestic Relations and Juvenile Sections, Judge Megan Maher Brennan has transferred to the Court’s Criminal Division, effective January 2, 2013. The Judge’s new phone number is 313-224-2461 and address is Frank Murphy Hall of Justice, 1441 St Antoine, Courtroom 402, Detroit, MI 48226-2384.
Brennan is a graduate of Michigan State University and Wayne State University Law School. She was appointed to the bench in December 2005 by Governor Jennifer M. Granholm and has been twice re-elected since then. Brennan assumes the criminal docket of Judge Annette J. Berry, who transferred to the Court’s Civil Division in November 2012.
