Kimberly Clarke of Varnum appointed to National Council of Agricultural Employers Board
Varnum Partner Kimberly Clarke has been selected to serve on the Board of Directors of the National Council of Agricultural Employers.
The NCAE focuses exclusively on agricultural labor issues from the agricultural employer's viewpoint. NCAE represents employer interests before Congress and regulatory/administrative bodies such as the departments of Labor, Homeland Security, Agriculture, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and the Environmental Protection Agency. NCAE members are growers, associations, and others whose business interests revolve around labor-intensive agriculture.
Clarke has developed a specialty practice of consultation with agricultural clients and handles various agricultural labor and employment issues such as compliance with migrant labor laws, H-2A worker issues, wage and hour laws and anti-discrimination laws. Additionally, Clarke's practice focuses on immigration matters, including non-immigrant petitions, both employment and family-based permanent residence applications, expatriation and foreign visa issues.
Judicial position opens up in Muskegon County
There is an opening on the 14th Circuit Court in Muskegon County for a judge, as the seat of Hon. John C. Ruck comes available.
