SBM Real Property Law Section to host summer conference
The State Bar of Michigan Real Property Law Section (RPLS) will host its 2013 summer conference, ''Returning to our Roots--Conventional Real Estate Practice Fundamentals for 2013'' from July 10-13 at Crystal Mountain Resort & Spa in Thompsonville.
Programs and workshops will cover such topics as "Lean, Mean, Seen & Green--Solving the Top Issues in Buying, Financing, Leasing & Renovating Commercial Real Estate,'' "Threading the Needle: Negotiating and Drafting Insurance Provisions in Leases, Mortgage Documents and Other Real Estate Contracts,'' ''Job 1: Get Your Client's Shovel in the Ground: Navigating Your Way Through the Municipal Approval Process,'' ''Finishing the Jigsaw Puzzle -- Creative Development of Infill & Difficult Parcels'' and ''Environmental Essentials for the Real Estate Attorney.''
A special presentation will be given by Ken Segall, author of ''Insanely Simple: The Obsession that Drives Apple's Success.''
Prior to May 14, the registration fee is $285 for Real Property Law Section members who are also first time attendees, $325 for other Real Property Law Section members and $375 for non-section members.
After May 14, the registration fee is $325 , $385, and $430 for non-section members.
