Third Judicial Circuit expands eFiling project
The Third Judicial Circuit of Michigan eFiling project will expand to include the following case types:
• NH-Medical Malpractice
• NI-Personal Injury, Auto Negligence
• NM-Other Professional Malpractice
• NO-Other Personal Injury
• NP-Product Liability (non-asbestos cases)
• NS-Dramshop Act
• NZ-Other Damage Suits
• PC-Proceedings to Restore, Establish or Correct Records
• PD-Claim and Delivery
• PR-Receivers in Supplemental Proceedings
• PS-Supplemental Proceedings
All filings for open or new cases for these case types will be mandatory. The planned implementation date is May 20, 2013. Further information will be posted on the web site www.3rdcc.org/efiling.
Please read the eFiling Guidelines posted on the eFiling web site. 
The court will offer training sessions on May 3, May 10, and May 17 at 1 p.m. in the Penobscot building. Space will be limited, training requests should be sent to helpdesk@3rdcc.org.

36th District Court to present homeowner and tenant rights clinic
The 36th District Court will host a Homeowner and Tenants Rights Clinic from 10-11:30 a.m. April 24 for those individuals who are facing mortgage foreclosure or eviction after foreclosure.
Members from the United Community Housing Coalition will provide information about Michigan foreclosure law and discuss what help may be available to homeowners at various stages in the process, what steps to take before the sheriff’s sale, during the redemptions period and when confronted with and eviction.
The clinic will be held at 36th District Court, 421 Madison, Room #422.

Firm partners with NDeX to raise $6,365 for Gleaners food bank

Trott & Trott, P.C., a Farmington Hills-based law firm serving the mortgage banking industry, joined with NDeX Michigan (NDeX), a leading provider of technology and processing services for law firms, to donate its services to the local nonprofit Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan.
Trott and NDeX employees contributed funds and/or volunteered at the organization’s Detroit distribution center, helping Gleaners in its mission of distributing 45 million pounds of food to local residents in need each year. Throughout the course of three volunteer days, 60 employees donated their time to sort and pack food at the Gleaners’ facility. In addition to volunteering their services, the employees donated $5,365 to the cause. Trott and NDeX also contributed $1,000, bringing the grand total to $6,365.
