Brooks Kushman, the largest IP firm in Michigan, recently hosted the American Intellectual Property Law Association’s “2013 Cross-Country Women in IP Networking Event” for the Detroit region. The event, part of a simultaneous 31-city program that brought together women in the IP law arena, was termed a “success” by organizers and had the highest metro-Detroit turnout to date. Approximately 60 attorneys attended the networking night that began with tours of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s Detroit satellite branch before the traditional nationwide teleconference. Among those attending were (left to right) Erin Bowles, Andrea Arndt, Jennifer Woodside and Elizabeth Brock.
