Attendees of the Washtenaw County Bar Association’s annual luncheon for senior members pose for a portrait Aug. 1 at Weber’s Inn. Of the WCBA’s 750 members, 260 are senior members—meaning they’ve been in practice for 30 or more years. Of those 260, 69 have practiced law for 40 or more years. Before and during the buffet luncheon, each attendee stood up and gave a brief summary of what he or she is doing today. While many are still working fulltime, others described satisfying retirement filled with volunteer service, travel, and grandparenting.
