Warm welcome extended to new attorneys

The Macomb County courthouse was the site recently of a joyous occasion - a new lawyer admission ceremony for law school graduates with ties to the area. Family and friends gathered as the grads were sworn in to practice law in Michigan. The Macomb County Bar Association holds such a ceremony twice a year for law students who pass the bar exam. Participating in the most recent event at the courthouse in downtown Mt. Clemens were (seated left to right) Shini Bhatt, Lakisha Wade, Meesha Rashid-Burns and Lindsey Schneider along with (standing from left) Stephanie Dowdy, Joe Pytel, Ben Murphy, Spencer Clayton, Ronald Laszczak, Jon Silver, Shirley Mansfield, Kyle Bristow, Dan DeBruin and Darren Legato.
