Aspects of Criminal Law were discussed during a recent seminar hosted by the Macomb County Bar Association’s Criminal Law Committee. Among those involved in the event were (left to right) Stephen Becker, MCBA treasurer; Michelene Eberhard: Steven Freers; and James Maceroni, MCBA director and co-chair of the Criminal Law Committee. Maceroni said the seminar was targeted at new attorneys who were taking court appointments. Topics for discussion during the day-long “Criminal Nuts & Bolts” seminar included district court practice, discovery and preliminary examinations as well as sentencing, sentencing guidelines and collateral consequences of convictions.
