Worsfold admitted to American College of Trial Lawyers
Charles H. Worsfold has become a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, one of the premier legal associations in the country.
Founded in 1950, the College is composed of the best of the trial bar from the U.S. and Canada. Fellowship in the College is extended only to those experienced trial lawyers who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality. Lawyers must have a minimum of 15 years trial experience before they can be considered.
Membership in the College cannot exceed one percent of the total lawyer population of any state or province. There are currently approximately 5,789 members in the United States and Canada, including active Fellows, Emeritus Fellows, Judicial Fellows (those who ascended to the bench after their induction) and Honorary Fellows. The College strives to improve and elevate the standards of trial practice, the administration of justice and the ethics of the trial profession.
Worsfold is a partner in the firm of Worsfold Macfarlane McDonald, PLLC and has been practicing in Grand Rapids for 37 years. He is a 1976 graduate of Michigan State University, Detroit College of Law.
Worsfold practices in the area of civil litigation, with an emphasis on complex construction, employment practices, personal injury, and commercial litigation, truck accidents, wrongful death, and professional liability. He has tried more than 150 cases to verdict in his 30-year career.
Worsfold has devoted a significant portion of his practice to products liability litigation. He has served as an instructor and is past chairman of the Hillman Advocacy Program. He is also a Certified Facilitative Mediator in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan, is qualified as a General Civil mediator in the State courts, and is an Advocate with the American Board of Trial Advocates.
