FBA Book Club to discuss ‘The Lawyer Bubble’ Dec. 12
The Book Club of the Federal Bar Association, Eastern District of Michigan Chapter, will meet to discuss “The Lawyer Bubble: A Profession in Crisis” by Steven J. Harper on Thursday, Dec. 12, beginning at noon in room 722 of the Theodore Levin U.S. Courthouse in Detroit. The author will be speaking to the Book Club via video conference. There is no charge to FBA members and a $5 charge to non-FBA members. Lunch will be offered for $10 or attendees may bring their own. The Women Lawyers Association of Michigan Wayne Region Holiday Skating Party in the D (Skating Not Required!) will be held Thursday, Dec. 19, from 6-9 p.m. at Campus Martius Park and Fountain Bistro, 800 Woodward Avenue, in downtown Detroit. Bring your skates or rent on site and show off sit spins and stumbles. Or stay off the ice and take photos under the holiday lights, then warm up with food and drinks in Fountain Bistro. FBA presents new e-discovery model order
The Federal Bar Association In conjunction with the judges of the U.S. District Court of the Eastern District of Michigan present “The New E-discovery Model Order - a Roadmap for Efficiency and Avoiding Litigation Pitfalls.” Join us for a fast-paced update on the cutting edge of e-discovery practice and procedure from 11:30-1:45 on Tuesday, Jan. 14, in Room 115 of the Theodore Levin Federal Courthouse in downtown Detroit. Judicial invitees include Judge Robert Cleland and Magistrate Judge Michael Hluchaniuk and E-Discovery Professionals include Stott Matthews and Mark St. Peter.
