 Six associates join Miller Canfield

Miller Canfield announces the hiring of six associates:

James Boufides (Kalamazoo office) joins the firm’s Employment and Labor Group. In 2013, he graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School. He has a bachelor’s degree in political science and English from the University of Michigan. He is from Troy and resides in Kalamazoo. 
 
Cassie Hare (Detroit office) joins the firm’s nationally ranked Public Law Group. She graduated from Michigan State University College of Law; she has a bachelor’s degree honors from Saginaw Valley State University, where she earned the Presidential Scholarship Award. She is from Saginaw.
 
Colleen Healy (Grand Rapids office) is joining the firm’s Commercial Litigation Group. Healy (photo below) earned her J.D. from the Duke University School of Law in 2013. At Duke, she was an articles editor for the Duke Forum for Law and Social Change and won the school’s 2013 Public Interest and Pro Bono Award for extraordinary commitment to pro bono service during law school. Healy has a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University, where she was a National Merit Scholar. She is originally from Jenison.

Jelani Karamoko (Detroit office) joins the firm’s Public Law Group. He earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School and graduated magna cum laude from Morehouse College in 2006. He resides in Detroit.
Thomas C.M. Turner (Detroit office) joins the firm’s Financial Institutions and Transactions Group. He graduated from the University of Michigan Law School and was a contributing editor to the Michigan Journal of International Law. He also has a bachelor’s degree from Kalamazoo College, where he won the William G. Howard Memorial Prize in Economics.

Jamie L. Woolard, Jr. (Detroit office) joins the International Dispute Resolution Section of the firm’s Commercial Litigation Group. He earned his J.D. from University of Michigan, was the executive editor of the Michigan Journal of Environmental and Administrative Law, and prior to law school, was a graduate fellow at Princeton University. He got his bachelor’s degree from University of Virginia. Woolard sits on the  Environmental Commission for the City of Ann Arbor.
