Rhoades McKee expands its insurance defense practice group

Rhoades McKee has announced that Steven C. Berry and Christopher S. Berry have joined the firm’s Insurance Defense Practice Group.

“We are excited to welcome both Steven and Christopher into our firm. Their knowledge and experience further expand our services in medical malpractice, insurance defense, as well as personal injury litigation. They join our existing insurance defense team of nine other attorneys and two nursing paralegals,” stated Pamela J. Cross, Vice President of Practice Chair Development.
 
With over 35 years of litigation experience, Steven C. Berry focuses his practice in medical malpractice defense. He assists physicians, nurses, mid-level health care providers and hospital entities in professional liability actions including negotiations, depositions, trial and appeal. Steven received his Juris Doctor from the University Of Detroit Mercy School Of Law (1976), and his Bachelor of Arts degree from Hope College (1972).

“Rhoades McKee enjoys a statewide reputation for successfully handling legal matters with a cost effective and practical approach,” stated Steven Berry.   “Their philosophy parallels the commitment that I have shared with my clients for over 35 years.  I also look forward to offering my clients the benefits of working with a team of other attorneys including business, tax, real estate, environmental, probate and family law,” he continued. 

Christopher S. Berry routinely handles high exposure claims representing a diverse client list from defending doctors, hospitals and other health care providers in professional liability matters to navigating commercial litigation matters for contractors, employers and religious entities.

Also a Hope College graduate (2002), Christopher received his J.D. from Wayne State University Law School (2005).

Prior to joining Rhoades McKee, the attorneys based their practice in Holland, Mich.
