Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP

Five new attorneys, who recently joined HONIGMAN, MILLER, SCHWARTZ, AND COHN LLP in its Detroit office, have been admitted to practice in Michigan.

ADAM BLANCK is an attorney in the firm's Corporate Department. He earned a law degree from the University of Michigan Law School and a B.B.A. in business administration from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.

Blanck served on the 2013 Presidential Inaugural Committee, on the White House Advance Team and on the Obama for America Advance Team. He is also a member of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit's NEXTGen board of directors.

MARTIN CURRAN is an attorney in the firm's Litigation Department.

He earned a law degree from the University of Illinois College of Law-Champaign, Illinois and a B.A. in political science from Brigham Young University.

REBECCA FRIEDRICK GLITMAN is an attorney in the firm's Corporate Department and Health Care Practice Group.

She earned a law degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School. She received a B.A in both political science and music from Albion College. During law school, Glitman interned for Kalamazoo County Circuit Court Chief Judge Stephen D. Gorsalitz, Family Division.

PAUL W. MARDIROSIAN is an attorney in the firm's Real Estate Department.

He earned a law degree from Wayne State University Law School. Mardirosian earned a M.A. in urban planning from Wayne State University and a B.A. in social science from the University of Michigan. During law school, Mardirosian interned for U.S. District Court Judge Nancy Edmunds, Eastern District of Michigan.

JESSICA M. WARREN is an attorney in the firm's Corporate Department and Health Care Practice Group.

She earned a law degree from Michigan State University College of Law. Warren also earned a M.A. in public relations and a B.A. in social science from Michigan State University. During law school, she interned for U.S. District Court Judge Nancy Edmunds, Eastern District of Michigan.

Curran, Glitman, Mardirosian, and Warren were all summer associates at Honigman in 2012. Warren also was a summer associate at Honigman in 2011.

POTESTIVO & ASSOCIATES P.C. is pleased to announce the hiring of NICOLE KOLHAGEN. Kolhagen joined the firm as the director of Human Resources on Monday, March 10, and is located at the Rochester Hills office.

Kolhagen earned her Associates Degree in Accounting at Delta College in 1994. She then completed her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at Northwood University in 2002.

Kolhagen is an experienced Human Resources professional with more than 18 years of experience in the field. She most recently served as a benefits administrator for a local public school system where she was responsible for all benefit programs for more than 500 employees. Her previous positions include benefits analyst, human resources generalist, and human resource manager. Kolhagen is also a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.

Harness Dicky

ROBERT J. LENIHAN, a partner in HARNESS DICKEY'S Litigation practice group, has been named general counsel of the firm effective January 24. Lenihan was appointed by the firm's Executive Committee.

In addition to continuing his Litigation practice, Lenihan will be responsible for advising the Executive Committee on selected legal issues.

Lenihan has more than thirty-five years of experience in complex federal and state litigation and dispute resolution. In addition to his experience in intellectual property trial and appellate practice, he has significant experience in general corporate defense, licensing litigation, and product liability defense. He has argued several cases of first impression involving litigation of non-competition agreements and trade secrets.

Lenihan obtained his law degree from Wayne State University Law School and a B.S. from Xavier University.

BUTZEL LONG has announced the following local attorneys were recently elected shareholders: GEANEEN M. ARENDS and JOSEPH E. RICHOTTE.

Based in Butzel Long's Detroit office, Arends concentrates her practice on general business law and commercial real estate.

She assists business clients with general business planning, entity formation and maintenance, mergers, acquisitions, private placements, woman-owned/minority-owned/disadvantaged business certification, insurance and risk management issues and general business contracts. Arends also has advised business clients on a variety of real estate transactions, including acquisition, development and leasing of multi-family residential, retail, office and industrial properties throughout the United States. She has represented both borrowers and lenders in multi-million dollar real estate financing transactions.

Arends serves as the chairperson of the Board of Directors and president for Michigan Community Resources (formerly known as Community Legal Resources), a nonprofit organization that provides technical assistance and free legal services to nonprofit organizations revitalizing and bringing economic development to underserved communities in Detroit and throughout Michigan. She is an alumna of Leadership Detroit, Class XXVII. She also belongs to the Royal Oak Woman's Club and is a master gardener.

She is an active member of the Butzel Long PAC Committee and Butzel Long's Women's Leadership Committee. Arends is a member of the Wolverine Bar Association and the Detroit Economic Club. She was recognized by DBusiness in 2014 as a Top Lawyer in the areas of Real Estate Law and Non Profit Law.

Arends is a graduate of Michigan State University (B.A., History, 1994) and of Boston College Law School (1998). She is admitted to the State Bar of Michigan and the United States District Court of the Eastern District of Michigan.

Based in Butzel Long's Bloomfield Hills office, Richotte practices in the areas of white collar criminal defense, securities and business litigation, news media defense, and attorney discipline defense. He also is very active in the firm's appellate practice, focusing on appeals in his practice areas.

Before joining Butzel Long, Richotte interned for U.S. District Court Judge Avern Cohn, Eastern District of Michigan. He also has worked for the United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Michigan in the National Security Unit and for the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office.

Richotte was named a Rising Star in 2013 by Michigan Super Lawyers and received the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel's (MDTC) Ninth Annual Golden Gavel Award. He is admitted to practice in Michigan, the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan. Richotte is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the American Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association's Eastern District of Michigan Chapter, the Lex Mundi Business Crimes Group, the Lex Mundi Media, Sports, and Entertainment Group, and the Media Law Resource Center.

In addition, MARK LEZOTTE, a health care attorney with Butzel Long, will be one of three featured speakers during a webinar presented by Crain's Detroit Business from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26. The webinar is titled, "Crain's Health Facts - Medicaid: Prognosis for Providers." Lezotte will discuss the legal issues when accepting Medicaid patients.

Lezotte has experience in corporate, health care, tax, and exempt organization matters, including corporate and nonprofit governance, business transactions, tax-exempt issues, hospital-physician ventures, and regulatory investigations.

He has conducted presentations on a number of topics involving health law, nonprofit organizations and tax matters.

Lezotte has been active in numerous bar and professional organizations. He has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America (health care law), published by Woodward/White, Inc. for 2013-2014; and has been selected to Michigan Super Lawyers, published by Thomson Reuters, each year since 2008.

ADRIENNE DRESEVIC, founding shareholder of THE HEALTH LAW PARTNERS, was recently appointed to the American Bar Association's (ABA) Governing Council of the Health Law Section. Founding Shareholder Carey Kalmowtiz made the announcement.

Appointed by the ABA Health Law Section Chair Kathleen Scully-Hayes, Dresevic will serve as a member-at-large through 2015. In this role, Dresevic joins a select group of appointed attorneys responsible for the growth, strategic development and general operations for the Health Law Section. The ABA's Health Law Sections group consists of 9,600 members from across the United States. Additionally, Dresevic will continue to serve in multiple roles with the ABA, including co-chair for the Publications Committee, chair of the Stark & Anti-Kickback Toolkit Editorial Board, liaison to The Health Law Editorial Board, vice chair for the Revenue Committee and vice chair for the Physicians Legal Issues Conference.

Dresevic, a founding shareholder of the The Health Law Partners, is an avid writer and speaker. She has published more than 60 articles on health care law and presents at national conferences throughout the year. ELIZABETH J. BLOUNT, the newest attorney at DETROIT LEGAL SERVICES (DLS), is committed to fighting on behalf of clients seeking Social Security justice in her hometown downriver communities and beyond.

Blount, who specializes in physical and mental health impairments, is also an active member of the downriver community and understands the needs of its most-vulnerable citizens.

"Many of my close friends work in the automotive, construction, and trade industries downriver. I am intimately familiar with the medical challenges one faces after a career in those industries," Blount says, adding that she is knowledgeable about many different medical issues, such as back injury, carpal tunnel, and injuries to the shoulders, knees, and hips.
