Miller Canfield principal Joseph Gustavus will talk to business leaders and students about issues related to the latest U.S. Export Control Reforms at an event hosted by the West Michigan World Trade Association.
The event – “Export Control Reforms: Why They Are Relevant To You” – takes place April 22 at 5:30 p.m. at the Stonewater Country Club in Caledonia. Gustavus will discuss these reforms under the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations and Export Administration Regulations, and their profound impact on the international movement of national security technologies with potential military or intelligence applications.
These Export Control Reforms will have significant effects on several industries, including the defense, aerospace and satellite industries, the software and information technology industries, machine tool and robotics industries and the telecom industry, Gustavus said.
