In honor of National Law Day, the Livonia Bar Association hosted a free “Ask a Lawyer” event on May 1 at the Livonia Civic Center Library atrium. Local attorneys were on hand to chat free of charge with community members regarding legal issues in a variety of areas such as general law, criminal and driving offenses, citizenship and immigration law, employer I-9 compliance, divorce and family law, estate planning and probate, mediation & arbitration, real estate, and personal injury, among others. Among the attorneys in attendance were (l-r) Angela Mannarino of Gaslorek Morgan Greco and McCauley; Peter Behrmann of Phoenix Law; Wendy Alton of Pear Sperling Eggan and Daniels; Leo Neville; Kathleen Poppenger of Vercruysse Murray; Jim Jolly; Melissa Cox of Fausone Bohn; and Kathleen Cole.
