 ABA publishes new Legal Technology Buyer’s Guide

In an effort to help legal professionals improve their practice with the right technology tools, the ABA Legal Technology Resource Center has launched the ABA Legal Technology Buyer’s Guide, a new online directory for legal technology products and services.

Lawyers can quickly become overwhelmed with their options when choosing new technology. Instead of getting lost in various vendor websites and Google searches, law professionals can now search for new technology and assess their options in one centralized space.
 
The Buyer’s Guide organizes products and services by technology types — practice management, cloud computing, client development, security, etc. — and includes a search feature for those looking for more specific results. Each listing contains a brief overview of the company, key contact information, direct social media profiles, videos, white papers, guides and checklists.

With the Buyer’s Guide, lawyers can quickly:

• explore what technology their firms may need (or need to upgrade)

• discover the available options

• identify the product or service that will best satisfy their needs, and

• find key contact information to make a connection immediately

The ABA Legal Technology Buyer’s Guide provides something for every lawyer, and new products and services are constantly being added.
 

Computing Source acquires MuniDeals

Southfield-based Computing Source, an all-in-one digital evidence and legal support firm, announced today that it has acquired Southfield, Mich.-based MuniDeals. Computing Source CEO and Managing Director Mark St. Peter made the announcement.
 
MuniDeals provides municipal finance professionals with a wealth of easy-to-use services designed to streamline their workflow, including financial printing and specialized digital portals. The company, which serves public sectors including education and local government, will remain under the same name and retain the existing team, but will now operate as a business unit of Computing Source. Plans are being made to relocate the firm within an existing or new Computing Source facility.

This acquisition is an extension of the firm’s impressive growth trajectory established in 2013.
