 Former Senior IP Counsel for Energizer joins Intellectual Property firm Price Heneveld

Grand Rapids, Michigan, August 5, 2014: Price Heneveld LLP welcomes the addition of Michael C. Pophal as an attorney of the firm. Pophal is a former Senior Intellectual Property Counsel for Energizer. His comprehensive intellectual property management experience will benefit Price Heneveld’s clients by bringing his corporate experience to solve their complex intellectual property issues. His guidance and advice will benefit clients who have needs in all areas of intellectual property, including opinions, client counseling, patent and trademark preparation, strategy, valuation, litigation, licensing and the negotiation of agreements.

Pophal’s extensive corporate intellectual property experience will grow and diversify the skills available to Price Heneveld’s clients who are here in the upper Midwest in order to solve their problems in a cost-effective manner. His practice focuses on the procurement, licensing and enforcement of intellectual property including chemical, electrochemical, mechanical and electromechanical patents, and IP transactions including licensing, joint development, asset purchase and acquisition.
 
Pophal earned a Bachelor and Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Cleveland State University. He is a J.D. graduate of Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. Previous to going to law school, Mike was a practicing chemical engineer and designed breweries and chemical plants.
