Conlin wins Washtenaw County circuit judge seat

 Pat Conlin defeated Scio Township attorney and University of Michigan Law School alum Veronique Liem in the Washtenaw County circuit judge race. Conlin will take over the seat vacated by Don Shelton, who had reached the mandatory retirement age of 70 for judges in Michigan. He will serve a six-year term.

Conlin, who gathered his supporters at Arbor Brewing Co. in Ann Arbor on Tuesday night, continues a family legacy, with both his father and grandfather serving as Washtenaw County judges.
A graduate of Gabriel Richard High School in Ann Arbor, Conlin earned a degree in English Literature from The University of Notre Dame, and his J.D. from Wayne State University. He joined the law firm of Keusch and Flintoft, in Chelsea where he became a partner in 2002. In 2012, he began working with his father Patrick as counsel to the newly formed Conlin Legal Group in Ann Arbor, where he has exclusively handled family law matters and mediation.
